Hey,

Have you been to the Official Nintendo Magazine’s website recently? If not, they’re running a competition where you could win one of seventeen copies of The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D.

Now, you’re probably asking why they’re only giving away 17 copies. Well, that can all be explained after the break.

Hey,

The weather is getting warmer, the beaches are getting crowded, wildlife is starting to get active, these are all signs telling us that Summer is finally here. I can’t believe it was nearly a year a go when the Nintendo 3DS was first announced at E3. It seems like yesterday when I started to bug Gamestation nearly every day about new news about it, nice guys by the way. Well, it’s nearly time for E3, and there’s a bunch of 3DS games coming out within the next couple of months.

Look at the full listing after the break!

Hey,

This is one of the important news items I have missed in my disappearance, and it’s about the hint system that Nintendo mentioned back in April that is a new feature in Ocarina of Time 3D

Many people thought that this would be something like a super guide where if you die a certain amount of times, then a character would offer to complete the level for you without getting a special tidbits. However, it has been announced that Nintendo are trying something completely different in their much beloved Zelda game.

Miyamoto and Iwata, mentioned that they wanted to make sure that newcomers were able to not find it so difficult that they would give up the game but still feel a sense of accomplishment . This is where Visions were born.

If the game sees that you are having difficulty completing a puzzle or defeating a boss, a slightly more important looking gossip stone will appear nearby offering you a selection of very short hint videos.

These video, apparently, are just a bunch of clips bunched together in a 30 second video. These are just supposed to get you onto the right track without telling you exactly what to do. Hopefully, by doing this, it should be able to still give the player a sense of accomplishment even though you got a helping hand.

So, what do you guys think? I prefer this rather than the Super Guide as, first of all, it seems it doesn’t take up too much time, and secondly, it doesn’t give the whole thing away.

Cheers
Leon

Hey Folks,

Are you in desperate need of StreetPass hits?

Then you’re in luck, if you have enough dosh and time, then why not visit London ExCel for the almighty MCM Expo this weekend. It’s London’s equivalent of Comic Con, just a bit smaller and it happens two weekends a year.

This is the ultimate chance to get some StreetPass Hits for your Nintendo 3DS. If you are able to go, then be sure to carefully search the entire Expo as you may be able to scan me to your 3DS.

The only StreetPass Enabled games I have at the moment are all the in-built stuff (music, Mii Plaza etc.), Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition and Nintendogs+cats.

Just remember to set that date on the calendar, that date being May 28th and 29th 2011, I’ll only be there on the Saturday as I’m going to se Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides at IMAX.

Online ordering of MCM Tickets have now closed but you can still get them at the door.

Cheers
Leon
